WE HELD OUR MAY MEETING AT THE 2018 MICHIGAN INFRAGARD CONFERENCE ON MAY 17TH AT THE FETZER CENTER ON THE WMU CAMPUS IN KALAMAZOO.
FEBRUARY 21, 2018 MEETING
DECEMBER 20, 2017 MEETING
NOVEMBER 2017 MEETING
At this meeting, we discussed a number of topics, among them the Smart911 and RaveFacility programs. The Smart911 program lets subscribers enter personal information, such as addresses, family members, pets, medical conditions, etc., allowing 911 operators to see this information automatically when you call 911. RaveFacility is similar, but allows commercial facilities or organizations like churches to enter floor plans and other information for First Responders. You can also create a "Geo-Fence" around your facility, so that anyone dialing 911 from within that area will automatically show up as being at that address. These services save lives! Chapter Member Roy Davis also shared his experiences with us from the recent ALICE Training Regional Conference. One of the keynote speakers at the conference was the lead investigator on the Sandy Hook investigation. Ray offered some great personal insights on that.
