We will be meeting tomorrow morning February 19th at Travelers Café & Pub at 8:00 AM. (5225 Portage Road, Portage, MI 49002)
We’re fortunate to have an involved and accessible contributing group of security professionals. The meeting agenda includes:

  • Certification Management - Self Reporting Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credits
  • Certification Scholarship Application Process  (Application period: 1 February - 15 April 2020   Decisions Announced: 30 June, 2020)

  • Derek Loomis, CPP, PCI will share and briefly discuss his recent pursuit, preparation and achievement of his Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) credential. There has been an expressed interest in the past about PCI and Derek should be able to provide some light on that process and answer any questions from those interested in pursuing for personal career development. Derek is a member of the ASIS Mid-Michigan Chapter and serves as Operations Manager for Teachout Security Solutions in the Jackson/Kalamazoo region.

  • James Summers, Director, Global Security Kellogg Company and contributing author to the January 2020 issue of Security Management cover story “Protecting Dinner” will provide an overview of information from last month’s ASIS Leadership Exchange in Washington, DC. James serves as Chair of the Food Defense and Agriculture Security Council as well as being a member of the Food Defense Consortium.  Congratulations, James!

We hope you are able to join us tomorrow morning for what should be a very informative meeting.
